Analog Amsterdam was launched in early 2021 by Tim Verheijen with one goal in mind: keeping film affordable. As film was and is getting more and more expensive, it is small companies such as Analog Amsterdam that can keep film a frequently used medium.
In an attempt to keep film available and affordable, while also being able to provide film stocks that are usually not available for still photography, Analog Amsterdam uses fresh motion picture stocks to respool into the familiar 35mm canister. While by no means a new technique, many other companies such as the Film Photography Project still charge premium prices for these relatively cheap, yet professional and high-quality products. At the same time, Analog Amsterdam is always looking for other film stocks that might be shortly available for low prices.
Analog Amsterdam is run by the community, for the community. Let’s keep film affordable!
